55 W&M Football Players Earn CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll Accolades

RICHMOND — The William & Mary football team continues to build upon its tradition of academic excellence, as 55 Tribe student-athletes were recognized on the CAA Football Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester.

The impressive total represents the second-most players to garner the distinction during a semester in school history.

Student-athletes on the Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll must have attained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 during the designated academic term and been enrolled as a full-time student.

Representing the Tribe for the spring semester were: Drew Babcock, Bryce Barnes, Zyquan Bessant, Ethan Chang, Owen Copeland, Marcus Crowell, Aidan Cunningham, Harrison Daley, Evan De Buglio, Quinn Devlin, Davin Dzidzienyo, Carl Fowler, Tyson Garrett, Stewart Harrington III, Bryson Harvey, Justin Hiller, Garrett Huyck, Kevin Jarrell, Justin Johnson, Jalen Jones, John Kearney, DreSean Kendrick, Hunter Klein, Greg Klingensmith, Mattijs Lasore, Donavyn Lester, Nick Levy, Kyle Love, Kadin Lynch, Hollis Mathis, Trey McDonald, Sean McElwain, Ryan McKenna, Tyler Oedekoven, Quinn Osborne, Bradley Perkins, Andrew Piercy, Ryan Poole, Kyle Reviello, David Roulley, Sammy Sarantis, Ryan Shonk, Tanner Slavic, Drew Sotka, Cam Spangler, Malcolm Spencer, Brayden Staib, Jack Toscano, Sam Trainer, Will Whitehurst, Darius Wilson, Ryan Wozniak, Ethan Yip, Bronson Yoder and Momen Zahid

In addition to the success in classroom last season, W&M equaled a school record with 11 victories, advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals and won a share of the CAA title.

Led by 2022 Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year Finalist Mike London, the Tribe will return a host of talent on both sides of the ball this fall as it looks to defend its CAA title and make a return to the NCAA Playoffs. Tickets are on sale and available at TribeAthletics.com.

The Tribe will open its 2023 slate at Campbell on Thursday, Aug. 31, while its home opener at Zable Stadium against Wofford will be the following weekend (Sept. 9).
