WILLIAMSBURG — The Christopher King Foundation held its third annual “Cars for Chris” car show on Saturday, June 24 at the Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport.
The event is organized in collaboration between the Christopher King Foundation and Drive Safe Hampton Roads to promote safe driving for teens in honor of the memory of Christopher King, a Jamestown High School graduate who passed away in a car accident on July 4, 2020. Money raised at the event is used to educate young drivers in Drive Safe Hampton Roads’ programs: Get It Together Seat Belt Challenge (GIT) and 757 Sober Rides.
The show, held in an open-category format where anyone could drive in and compete for trophies, is open to car clubs, car enthusiasts and spectators. Trophies were awarded to the top 20 cars by vote, as well as in several “best of” categories.
