WILLIAMSBURG — The City of Williamsburg announced road closures for Williamsburg Live and Juneteenth events taking place Friday, June 16 through Monday, June 19.
Williamsburg Live
The following closed at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 15, and will remain closed until 5 p.m. Monday, June 19:
- Nassau Street from Francis Street to Court Street
The following will close at 2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and remain closed until 1 a.m. each day:
- Nassau Street from Prince George Street to Francis Street
- Francis Street from South Henry Street to South England Street
The city cautions motorists can expect increased traffic congestion in the area around the event each day, and encourages Williamsburg Live guests to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and park at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center and take the Colonial Williamsburg buses to the event. No Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket is required to use the bus service during this event.
Juneteenth Events
The following will close at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 17 and remain closed until approximately 1 p.m.:
- Court Street, from Nassau Street to South Henry Street
The following will close at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19 and remain closed until 7:30 p.m.:
- North Boundary Street from Lafayette Street to Scotland Street
