HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Part beagle, part foxhound and all attitude, Ferris Bueller (no, not THAT Bueller but, definitely named after the ’80s icon) is a one-year-old pup who loves to head out on adventures and explore new places and meet people.
Warm days mean cold treats and Sno-To-Go on Richmond Road is the perfect location for a hungry beagle to visit. Ferris loves the pup cup and his Momma loves the community involvement this quaint little establishment puts back into their neighborhood.
“We pride ourselves on being family and community friendly, so everyone can be included,” Taylor Hines, Sno-To-Go’s social media manager said. “Since we only have outdoor seating, all pets are welcome and we get excited to see them pop their heads up at the window and get spoiled with a pup cup.”
The locally-owned business has a history of giving back to the community. At Sno-To-Go, all tips are donated to charity organizations. It gave more than $26,000 in 2022.
The months of June and August will be dedicated to animal rescue organizations.
“It is very important that, as a business, we include our love of animals,” said Hines, “Sno-To-Go has made June one month to support animal rescue by showing support to New Hope Animal Rescue, Giant Heart Giant Dogs Rescue, Bay Beagle Rescue and Feral Affairs Network.”
In addition to donation support, Sno-To-Go is kicking off a new social media program to showcase long-term foster dogs and cats called ‘Pawsome Fosters’.
“Our social media platform has a very large following and we want to use it to give exposure to those animals that have been in long-term foster situations a chance to get noticed and find their furever homes,” Hines continued, “we are working with local rescues, Homes Fur Hounds and Purrhaps It’s Serendipity to showcase adoptable pets that may have been overlooked or have specific needs. Sometimes, all it takes is just a photo coming across your feed to find the right pet for the right person.”

Happen to spot Ferris out on an adventure? Come say hello! If you have a dog-friendly suggestion you would like Ferris to consider visiting, please email his mom. Hounds are not very good at responding.
