Celebrate the Summer Solstice with James City County Parks & Recreation

JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Parks & Recreation is taking part in Project: 5:47, the Longest Day of Play! June 21 with a series of events to celebrate the longest day of the year.

Events kick off at 5:47 a.m. and will include free recreational activities and outdoor adventures all day, including free access to our outdoor pools, free use of the Recreation Centers, free select group fitness classes and more.

Some events require registration by June 18 and will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or lack of minimum registration levels. Outdoor activities are weather permitting, and participants should call the weather hotline at 757-259-3232 for any changes in schedule.
