No June 2023 Election Primary for James City County Voters

JAMES CITY COUNTY — There will be no June 2023 primary election in James City County as only one candidate filed for each party for each elected office, the county said.

The next opportunity for county voters to vote will be the Nov. 7 General Election.

Information on the upcoming General Election: 

  • The first day of in-person early voting at the James City County Office of Elections Vote Center will be Sept. 22. The Vote Center will be open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. from Sept. 22-Nov. 3. The Vote Center is open for two Saturdays for early voting: Oct. 28 and Nov. 4. The last day of in-person early voting will be Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
  • The deadline to register to vote or update an existing registration is Oct. 16. Voters who register after Oct. 16 through Election Day will be able to vote using a provisional ballot.
  • The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Oct. 27. The request must be received by the James City County Office of Elections by 5 p.m.

The county also reminds voters the Office of Elections has moved to 4095 Ironbound Road in Courthouse Green behind the Courthouse.
