YORKTOWN — Historic Yorktown is slated to hold its second annual Vintage Market and Car Show on Main Street from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 13.
According to York County, the show will see 20 fully-restored classic cars, ranging from a 1928 Ford Model A Special Coupe, to a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette. The Historic Virginia Peninsula Region of the Antique Automobile Association of America has partnered with the county to stage the event.
Meanwhile, the Vintage Market at Riverwalk Landing promises upcycled home, garden, and reusable items, as well as hard-to-find collectibles including tools, woodcrafts and lamps.
Local musician Evan Young will sing country and rockabilly songs on Main Street from 9 a.m. to noon, while The Liberty Dolls will perform hits from the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s on the Riverwalk Landing waterfront performance stage from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event runs in addition to Yorktown Market Days, which offers fresh local produce, meats, baked goods and local artwork. For a full list of participating vendors, visit yorktownmarketdays.com.
Food trucks Coastal Thirst and Boyd’s Tasty Dogs will also be on hand.
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building and other designated public parking lots. The complimentary Yorktown Trolley will also be running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with several stops throughout town. The event will take place rain or shine.
