WILLIAMSBURG — Kickoff times for 10 of the 11 games on the William & Mary football team’s exciting 2023 slate were announced Wednesday afternoon.
After opening its season — and conference slate — at Campbell for a Thursday night kickoff (7 p.m.) on Aug. 31, W&M will begin its five-game home schedule against Wofford on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.
The Tribe’s other four home games — all versus conference opponents — will include: Maine (Sept. 23, 3:30 p.m.), Towson (Oct. 21, 3:30 p.m. – homecoming), Monmouth (Oct. 28, 1 p.m.) and Richmond (Nov. 18, 1 p.m.).
In addition to the opener at Campbell, W&M’s road contests include trips to Charleston Southern (Sept. 16, 4 p.m.), Elon (Sept. 30, 2 p.m.), Virginia (Oct. 7, TBA), UAlbany (Nov. 4, 1 p.m.) and Hampton (Nov. 11, 1 p.m.).
Football season tickets are on sale and available at TribeAthletics.com.
W&M returns a host of talent from one of the most successful teams in its 129-year history of the program. Last season W&M equaled a school record with 11 victories, won a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
Additionally, W&M won a school-record 10 regular season games, posted a perfect 6-0 regular season road record for the first time in school history, defeated three nationally ranked teams and earned a lopsided season-opening victory on the road against FBS opponent Charlotte.
