WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center’s 2023 Artisan Extravaganza Show opens on April 5 and runs through May 19.
The show includes the work of Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center (WCAC) member artisans, as well as works by non-members in the region. All work is conceived and executed by the artisans — no commercial molds or kits are used.
“This is a very popular offering at WCAC because the show is primarily three-dimensional works such as jewelry, textile art, sculpture, and ceramics,” said Apryl Altman, program chair. “Some of the works are functional, some can be worn, and some are strictly decorative, but everything included is considered art.”
The Artisan Extravaganza will be held in the main and middle galleries in WCAC’s blue building at 110 Westover Ave. There will also be a themed members’ exhibit in the Fireside Gallery — All About Color — as well as new works in the Artisan Corner.
All artwork is for sale.
The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
