JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Parks & Recreation will hold its Summer Job Fair on Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the James City County Government Center.
James City County Parks & Recreation said it is looking for job applicants “with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.”
Staff will be onsite for same-day interviews. Part-time, seasonal and on-cal, year-round positions are available assisting with camps, programming at outdoor pools and at a variety of county parks.
Positions Available include:
Assistant Recreation Supervisors
Instructors
Lifeguards
Lead Lifeguards
Park Attendants
Recreation Leaders
Therapeutic Recreation Leaders
Part-Time regular, year-round positions are up to 28 hours per week year-round. Those interested must apply online for part-time regular positions.
Seasonal positions are up to 40 hours per week for the summer season only.
To apply, all applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire. If an applicant is under the age of 18, parental consent is required to complete the post-offer checks, if selected for a position. Applicants must successfully complete a drug test and criminal history/sex offender check (other post-offer checks may be required depending on the position offered.)
The James City County Government Center is located at 101 Mounts Bay Road in Building F. Applicants should bring a picture ID and any certification documentation, if applicable. Applications are available online and can be completed prior to attending the job fair.
