WILLIAMSBURG — Kingsmill Resort announced an extensive renovation to its fitness center, anticipated to be completed by Fall 2023.
Designed by local architectural firm Guersney Tingle, the project aims to completely revamp the sports club experience and become the benchmark of modern health and lifestyle centers on the Peninsula, according to a press release. The plan will create more public space, multiple state-of-the-art group exercise studios, new visions for the wet areas, and improvements to both the Men’s and Women’s locker rooms.
“Kingsmill has a significant local and regional Membership program,” said Michael Pierce, General Manager, “This is not a cosmetic exercise. We are tearing down walls, lifting ceilings, and adding more space for every level of activity. Everything will be upgraded or replaced, from floors to fixtures to whirlpools, steam rooms, showers, etc. To put it simply, it will be an epic transformation.”
Kingsmill is a known vacation and golf destination resort that is also an exclusive club for local area residents and frequent visitors. Depending on the level of membership, people outside the gates of Kingsmill have access to the fitness center, restaurants, marina, live entertainment, miles of walking and bike paths, pools, and famed golf courses.
