JCCPD Seeks Assistance Identifying Body Recovered in New Town Retention Pond

WILLIAMSBURG — The James City County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a body discovered in a retention pond in the 5000 block of Olive Drive in a New Town residential area Jan. 25.

A pedestrian discovered the body while walking along a roadway in the area.

The subject is a five-foot, nine-inch tall Black male, likely aged 16-26 years old, weighing between 160 and 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. No other abnormalities or identifying elements could be determined. 

Upon discovery, the man was wearing a medium black shirt with a “Berret’s Taphouse Grill” logo, a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, and a necklace (pictured).
