WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (WRHA) will be accepting applications for its waiting list on May 30 and 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The authority notes its goal is to be a provider of safe, decent and affordable shelter as well as economic opportunity for those of greatest need and which will effectuate a positive impact on the community and the region in which it is located.

According to the official waiting list webpage, the authority will only accept electronic applications. Paper applications will not be available or accepted and faxed, emailed, and/or written application requests will not be acknowledged. The authority adds, however, that reasonable accommodation will be granted for those who, due to a disability, or being an emancipated minor, are unable to complete an application electronically and those requests will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.

The WRHA notes that the application will be open for one- to five-bedroom units, however, one-bedroom units are reserved for elderly and disabled applicants.
