WILLIAMSBURG — Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Williamsburg celebrated its completed refurbishment with a ribbon cutting July 11.
“It’s always exciting when we come together to celebrate a new business, but this is even more exciting, when we come together to celebrate a business that has been here for a while,” said Williamsburg Vice Mayor Pat Dent.
Brandon Ely, the new general manager of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Williamsburg on Richmond Road, said they’ve added more than 80 new exhibits to the museum and revamped the mini golf course behind the building.
This is the fourth location Ely is running with Ripley’s. One of the key additions of the refurbishment is a new Mirror Maze. Ely noted that there are only three of this kind of mirror maze, and the first in the company to have some of the features inside.
“It’s bringing back family fun, that’s all Ripley’s is about,” said Ely.
After the ribbon cutting, attendees were invited inside to enjoy refreshments and experience the new maze. Guests were also invited to stay for the 6 p.m. show by Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow.
The museum, located at 1735 Richmond Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. To learn more about Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Williamsburg, visit the official website.
