
JAMES CITY COUNTY — Two men are facing a slew of larceny charges that stem from incidents that occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on May 27 in the White Hall subdivision.
James City County Police Department (JCCPD) Spokesperson Stephanie Williams Ortery said in a press release that the two men were caught on multiple residential security cameras going into unlocked cars in the White Hall subdivision. The two took several items including three firearms.
Quantrell Chandler, 18, of Hopewell, and Stanley Harris, 23, of Prince George, were arrested by Prince George County Police (PGCPD) the same day as the larcenies occurred on unrelated charges. PGCPD notified JCCPD that the two men matchedthe description of suspects in the security footage.
Both men were charged after JCCPD investigators interviewed them at the Riverside Regional Jail in Prince George County.
Chandler is being charged with possession of a stolen firearm, grand larceny of a firearm, conspiracy to commit grand larceny of a firearm and larceny with intent to sell.
Harris is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, grand larceny of a firearm and conspiracy to commit grand larceny of a firearm.
All charges for both men are felonies and more are expected to follow, according to the press release. Both Chandler and Harris are being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
