Meet Elmer, this week’s adoptable pet.
Elmer recently went on a grand adventure in historic Williamsburg as a part of the Heritage Humane Society Fido Field Trip program. He took a leisurely stroll on Duke of Gloucester Street, discovered new friends and even met some historic figures!
You might have seen some adoptable dogs sporting orange “Adopt Me” vests as they strut around some favorite Williamsburg hot spots. This a new and exciting aspect of the Heritage Humane Society volunteer program called Fido Field Trips, and they are taking over Williamsburg! The main goal of the program is to give the pups a day out of the shelter to enjoy the sights and smells, and to meet new people. Both the volunteers and dogs are thoroughly enjoying these adventures and the pictures definitely show it!
Elmer had a grand time on his Fido Field Trip. He is hoping that his next big adventure will be getting adopted! If you are looking for a lovable, smart pup who is eager to please and will happily be by your side for any new adventure, Elmer is your guy. He will quite literally stick to you like glue!
