Local Organizations Team Up to Help Save Lives

Join Baylands Family Credit Union as they partner with James City Volunteer Rescue Squad and help save lives. Both organizations are teaming up to host a Red Cross Blood drive to help the American Red Cross meet the need for blood donations right here in Virginia.

Blood donations are critical in helping those suffering from medical conditions such as cancer or sickle cell, or to help save the victims of unpredictable car accidents. In fact, every day in the U.S. approximately 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed to help folks that find themselves in unfortunate and tragic situations.

“Baylands Family Credit Union believes in making a positive impact in the communities it serves. We are excited for the opportunity to partner with James City Volunteer Rescue Squad and hope others will join us in helping make a difference,” said Fred Hayes, Business Development Representative for Baylands.
