CDR’s Fatherhood Program celebrates dads with a Father’s Day cookout

Williamsburg, Virginia (June 4, 2019) – Child Development Resources’ Fatherhood Program is dedicated to the mission of serving dads in the Historic Triangle and surrounding areas. On June 22 from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., they will host their annual Father’s Day event to celebrate dads.

This free event hopes to bring together dads and families from the community and to bring awareness to the events and workshops offered by the Fatherhood Program. The cookout will include food and giveaways donated by generous local businesses and fun, family activities such as cornhole, giant Connect 4, the Fun Bus, and more. Fatherhood Consultants will be available to provide more information to dads about the programs offered and how they can get involved.

If you are interested in attending you can RSVP at www.cdrfatherhood.com or by calling 757-378-3177. Child Development Resources (CDR) is a 501 c3 public charity that was started in 1965 as the Williamsburg Preschool for Special Children and now serves approximately 1,000 children and their families each year. CDR’s Fatherhood program was started in 2008 and supports fathers through it’s family-centered approach to services.
