Apple is a 3-year-old girl. She is listed as an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, with a heavy emphasis on the “mix.” In other words, she’s a good ol’ American mutt. Whatever the recipe, the final product is one of a kind.
With help from the expert Animal Care staff at Heritage Humane Society, she has gained a heap of confidence around new people. Around other dogs, she was already confident. Her skills in playgroups are impressive. She has a special way with the big, rowdy, boy dogs. Heritage Humane Society staff don’t know how she does it, but she’s got them all wrapped around her little paw. Maybe it’s something in those eerily light-brown eyes of her.
