YORK — Want to gaze at the stars with some experts?
The public is invited to join members of the NASA Langley Skywatchers Club from 8 to 11 p.m. Aug 4 at York County’s New Quarter Park to view the night sky through high-powered telescopes.
Stargazers can expect to see Jupiter, Saturn and other celestial objects, the club said.

“This year, late summer provides a great opportunity to observe the two largest and most fascinating planets — Jupiter and Saturn — in the early evening,” club member Paul Tartabini said. “The NASA Skywatchers are excited to provide a chance for people to see Jupiter’s moons and Saturn’s rings as well as other objects in the night sky through telescopes and binoculars at New Quarter Park.”
New Quarter Park is at 1000 Lakeshead Drive near the Queens Lake neighborhood.
