Busch Gardens is launching a new show next month that will offer audiences a different take on the classic Three Musketeers story.

“All For One,” which debuts July 1, will take up residence in the Royal Palace Theatre. The venue was used for “Twas That Night” during last year’s Christmas Town season, but has not hosted a recurring show during the regular season for seven years.

To prepare for the new action-adventure show, the theater has undergone a “major transformation” in recent months, according to a press release from Busch Gardens. New paint, facades, pennants and set pieces have all been utilized to transform the space ahead of next week’s premiere.

“This is the most ambitious show we have ever staged at Busch Gardens,” said Peter Dunklee, vice president of entertainment. “It’s been over a year in the making, and it’s amazing to see it finally come to life.”

The story itself follows the Musketeers in a quest to save their queen – a mission which requires plenty of courage, stunts and swashbuckling, according to the release.

In addition to extensive action sequences, “All For One” also features intricate costumes, special effects, scenic design and a custom score, the release went on to say. The nighttime-only show also uses the dark sky as part of its backdrop, with “special lighting and pyrotechnics adding to the drama and suspense.”

“All For One will definitely be the most action-packed show anyone has ever seen at Busch Gardens,” Dunklee said.  “The coordination of the performers, the sets, the music and all of the special effects will create a truly thrilling experience.”
