Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg recently received a gift of $500 from the Rotary Club of James City County.
Hospice House is a non-medical, volunteer hospice dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those with a terminal illness, as well as to supporting those who love them.
The organization is based out of a residential center designed to be a home away from home for its guests and their loved ones.
In addition to the comfortable facilities, which include a kitchen, family room, sunroom, gardens, a walking path and four guest rooms, Hospice House also provides myriad resources for caregivers and bereaved family and friends.
Literature and other information about the grieving process are available on site, and staff will provide referrals to outside sources as needed.
The Rotary Club of James City County donated $500 to support these services, which are all provided free of charge, and to recognize Hospice House its contribution to the community.
