Easter just got a little brighter for one group of local children in need.

The Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority recently put together baskets of Easter treats for the children served by Colonial Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Roma Maycock presented 12 baskets stuffed with candies, stuffed animals, bubbles and small toys on behalf of the Sigma Kappa alumnae chapter.

The baskets will go to children who have been victims of abuse or neglect in the City of Williamsburg, James City County, York County or Poquoson.

Colonial CASA provides trained volunteers to advocate for these children and help them navigate the legal system.
