James City County kids ages 9-13 can register now for this year’s 4-H summer camp scheduled for the week of July 4.
This annual residential summer camp will take place at the Jamestown 4-H center and “provides youth countless opportunities for learning more about themselves, their peers, and the natural world around them,” according to the program’s website.
Typical 4-H camp activities include classes, swim time, flag ceremonies, campfires and unstructured recreation time. A sample camp itinerary can be found here.
Campers will have the opportunity to learn numerous new skills through camp classes, including archery, kayaking, arts and crafts and videography.
The total cost of camp is $275 per child, and scholarships are available for kids with financial need.
Registration for the camp is online-only and can be accessed here.
