Police: Man uses Rubbermaid box to steal $800 worth of electronics

Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of stealing over $800 worth of video streaming equipment from a York County Target.

According to a news release posted on Facebook, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office believes a man entered the department store, located in the Marquis Shopping Center, on April 8.

Police say the man pulled an oversized Rubbermaid storage container from a shelf and filled it with Apple TVs and ROKU products.

He then exited the store without paying for the items and drove off in a dark-colored sedan, police said.

Authorities are asking the public to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or the FB TIP LINE at 757-890-4999 with any information about the incident.
