Police seek woman accused of $1K shopping spree at Stein Mart using fake Fla. I.D.

Authorities are looking for a “heavy-set” woman accused of purchasing more than $1,000 of merchandise last month from Stein Mart at Settlers Market on Monticello Avenue after opening a store credit card with a fake Florida driver’s license, according to a James City County Facebook post.

Police believe the incident happened March 2 with the women using a driver’s license belonging to person named Elizabeth Dias.  Police also believe  the same individual has been involved in similar incidents in Hampton Roads, Richmond and Charlottesville areas of Va.

The public may may also contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to the Crime Line may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
