Arlene Marie Carroll

Williamsburg - Arlene Marie Carroll, was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. Her life began on Mar. 22, 1942, the daughter of the late Mary T. and Clarence Carroll, Sr. She was a loving and kind person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three of her siblings, Clarence Carroll, Jr., Thomas L. Carroll and Sarah J. Carroll. She leaves to cherish her blessed memories her loving daughter, Melaine Carroll Green (Leroy); sons, Nathan Carroll, Sr. (Jennifer) and Jamie Carroll (Anesha); God-daughter, Melissa Delaney (Gary); seven grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Cordelia Chandler (Charles) and Mary Washington Wormley; and a host other loving relatives and many caring friends.

A funeral service, celebrating the life she lived, will be held  at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, in Bethel Restoration Center with Bishop John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 6 Forest Court by 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Ms. Carroll may be viewed and the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 on Sunday in the funeral home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail.
