Hamilton Howard ‘Chubby’ Hughes, 69, of Williamsburg, Va., passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was born in Williamsburg and had been a lifetime resident.

Chubby worked at Jamestown as a master glass blower for 20 years and retired from National Park Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Hughes.

He leaves behind five brothers, William, Jack, Richard, Charles and Robert; and his dear niece, Karen ‘DeeDee’ Baskett; and many other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends, please join us in the celebration of his life at 1 p.m. with a viewing beginning at 11 a.m. prior to services, Wednesday, April 19, at Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow services in Williamsburg Memorial Park, 138 Kings William Drive, Williamsburg.
