Police seek masked man for alleged burglary at Martin’s

Police are searching for a masked man they believe burglarized a Martin’s Food Market on Monticello Avenue in James City County.

According to a county news release posted on Facebook, the man entered Martin’s at approximately 6 a.m. on Feb. 9. He allegedly walked into the store’s office and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the supermarket’s safe.

The suspect was wearing a black baseball hat, headphones, black ski mask over his face, black oversized jacket, green polo shirt, black gloves, dark pants and white tennis shoes, police said. He is described as having a “slender build” and is 5’8” to 5’11” tall.
