Thomas ‘Scotty’ Bradley, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

He is survived by his two sons, Brian Bradley of Saint Louis, Mo., and Colin Bradley, Newport News, Va., ; and grandson, Kian Bradley, age 7, of  Newport News.

Scotty served our country for many years, including fighting in the Korean War, at which time he earned a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He attended Christopher Newport University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Psychology, in 1981. He was later inducted as a member of the Psi Chi Society. Mr. Bradley was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous with over 45 years of sobriety.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorial donations be made to dementia research in his memory.

Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
