Margaret F. ‘Frances’ Williams Etheridge, 98, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. Frances was a native of Clifton Forge and a former resident of Gloucester before moving to the Peninsula in 1982.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Seaford, and the Builders Sunday School Class. Frances was a former member of the Seaford Woman’s Club. She was instrumental in forming Apostle’s Lutheran Church in Gloucester. The first meeting was held at her home in Gloucester.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ray; and two sons, Larry and Ronnie Mills.
She is survived by her two sons, Robbie Mills (Brenda) of Yorktown and Ivan Etheridge (Shari) of Gloucester; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow interment in the church social hall.
