Investigators from the James City County Police Department arrested a James City County resident Friday afternoon following a search of an apartment located in the 4900 block of Grand Strand Drive in Williamsburg.
As part of an ongoing drug investigation, deputies assigned to the Tri Rivers Drug Task Force arrested 30-year-old Myles Matthew Straker, an undocumented immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago who was living within the county, around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
According to a county news release, Straker was charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I/II drugs, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police seized two handguns, approximately $5,000 cash and an undisclosed amount of narcotics from the apartment, the release stated.
Straker is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond.
