The Virginia Department of Transportation has released its weekly lane closures report, and many scheduled traffic patterns will affect the Historic Triangle.
Traffic shifts and single-lane closures will take place on route I-64 as a part of the ongoing widening project, according to a press release. These changes will take place on both east- and west-bound lanes between Camp Peary and Lee Hall, or exits 238 and 247, respectively. Closures and shifts will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Feb. 12-17. On- and off-ramps will remain open.
The inspections of bridges underneath I-64 will necessitate flagging operations and single-lane closures on Penniman Road, Yorktown Road, and Jefferson Avenue. These will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Feb. 13-16. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 m.p.h. in the work zone.

VDOT advises motorists to follow detour signs at the VA-134 westbound off-ramp to US-17 in York County. The Hampton Highway westbound off-ramp to US-17 will close Feb 12-16 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
There will also be alternating lane closures between US-17 in both directions at Magruder flyover from Feb. 12-16 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
