Emily Gibson Riggins Kiser, 76, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017. Emily was a native and lifelong resident of York County. She was a member of Grafton Christian Church and attended Hope of Glory Church in Dandy. Emily retired from the Naval Weapon Station in 1994 after 26 years of service. She enjoyed reading and finding unique, one-of-a-kind treasure.

She is survived by her sons, Andrew Kiser, and his wife, Lyda, of Stephens City, Va., and Benjamin Kiser of Cleveland, Ga.; brother, James L. Riggins, and his wife, Linda, of Dandy; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Kiser, Hugh Kiser, Jonathan Kiser, Stephanie Bitto and Caitlin O’Connell; and a great-grandson, Patrick O’Connell.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Falk officiating. Burial will follow in Grafton Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home.
