Josephine “Jo” Mann, 92, a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Williamsburg resident for the past 70 years, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017.
She worked for what is now SunTrust Bank for many years, and then went on to retire in 1993 from the James City County Health Department after nine years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Jo was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold, Beulah, Joe, Cecil, Alice, Elizabeth, Raymond, Allen, Patsy, Nancy and Estelle.
She is survived by her son, Paul V. Mann Jr. from Salem, Ore.; grandchildren, Carrie Rodgers, and her husband, Chris, of Poquoson, Cody Mann, and his wife, Charity, of Clatskanie, Ore., and Casey Mann of Salem, Ore.; five great-grandchildren, Helena, Becky, Elizabeth, Emily and Alex; and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, immediately followed by a celebration of Jo’s life at 1 p.m. led by the Rev. Charles R. Stacy. A reception will follow at the JOUAM Lodge, 10 Lodge Road, Poquoson. Burial will be private.
