Charles W. ‘Chucky’ Pierce, 51, his outgoing and bold personality will be missed

Charles W. “Chucky” Pierce, 51, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, after a lengthy illness. His life’s journey began on Oct. 8, 1965, in Williamsburg, Va. His outgoing and bold personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Garlena Pierce; son, Rydell Seaborn; daughter, Aaliyah Taylor; mother, Sarah P. Butler; sister, Carlene Bartlett (Bruce); and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.

A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at New Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Robert A. Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 704 Maupin Place by noon on Friday. Mr. Pierce may be viewed only in the church on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. until the hour of his service.
