Interstate 64 westbound before Fort Eustis has been cleared and all lanes are open, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Drivers should expect delays.

Virginia State Police are responding to a hazardous materials incident on Interstate 64 westbound near mile marker 250. A dump truck carrying ammonia sulphate fertilizer caused the shutdown, according to an updated news release.

Traffic is being diverted until the situation is cleaned up and the westbound lanes can be safely opened. There are no reported injuries, the Virginia State Police said.
