Brittany Lockard and Jeff Fauber are to be married Oct. 21, 2017, at The Inn at Warner Hall in Gloucester.

She is a daughter of William & Maria Lockard.

Jeff Fauber, 26, is employed with Capital Group. He graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2012.

He is a son of Lewis and Bobbie Fauber.

It was quite literally the perfect day, Saturday, Aug. 20. Brittany had a GMAT exam that morning at 8 a.m., which she was incredibly nervous about. She needed to get a certain score in order to get into the school of her choice. (Go Monarchs!) The morning passed on and Brittany ended up surpassing the score she needed! She called Jeff to let him know, and he, of course, tells her how proud he is and how today was going to be the day to celebrate.

Little did she know what was to come. She returned home and changed into her bathing suit. The two of them hit the beach with Brittany’s brother and some of their friends. They spent the day getting sun kissed and enjoying the salty air. They left the beach around 5:30 p.m. to go home and get ready for dinner. Jeff wanted to take her to Chicks Oyster Bar to celebrate her GMAT score. They got all dressed up and hit the road.

Dinner was the picture perfect. The couple watched the sunset while eating oysters and sipping on drinks. They made a toast to this next chapter of their lives and to what the future held for them. Jeff didn’t want the night to end, so they went down to Chic’s Beach for a stroll under the moonlight. They walked and walked and walked until Jeff found the perfect spot.

He started to lay a burlap sack on the ground, and when Brittany turned to sit down, Jeff was on one knee. It was truly the happiest moment of Brittany’s life. “I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, my biggest supporter, my forever,” said Brittany.
