The York County School Division has announced a make-up day as a result of three snow days due to winter storm Helena.
Monday, Jan. 30 was originally scheduled as a teacher work day, but will now be a regular school day for all YCSD students, according to an automated phone message.
“When considering the options to make up days as we proceed through the school year,” stated the message, “the division determined a proactive approach was most beneficial to our students.”
Jan. 30 will also mark the first day of the semester and will be an “A Day” for student class schedules.
Despite the cancellation of three days of classes, only one make-up day has been announced.
