Government offices and buildings across the Historic Triangle will shut for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday Jan. 16.
Not all services will be affected.

County offices and libraries will be closed.
County courts will be closed.
York-Poquoson Social Services and Virginia Cooperative Extension are closed.
The Waste Management Compost Facility and Transfer Station, 145 Goodwin Neck Rd., will be open.
Garbage and recycling collection will follow regular schedules.
City of Williamsburg
The Quarterpath Recreation Center, Williamsburg Regional Library, the Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse and all offices in the Municipal Building on Lafayette Street will be closed Monday.
Garbage will be collected as usually scheduled for city residents and Waller Mill Park will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents that experience a water emergency Monday are advised to call 757-220-6196. Residents who need to pay a city bill are able to leave their payment in a drop box located on the front of the Municipal Building.
James City County
All county offices will be closed.
The stores and offices of Chickahominy Riverfront Park , James City County Marina and Little Creek Reservoir Park will be closed Monday.
County libraries and courts will also be closed.
Convenience centers and garbage transfer station, Freedom Park office and store, James City County Recreation Center, Abram Frink Jr. Community Center and county parks will be open.
