A firefighter sustained a minor injury in a York County house fire Thursday night.
Personnel from the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety responded to reports of “smoke in the building” on the 3700 Block of Seaford Road Thursday, according to a press release from the department.
Fire and rescue units found smoke and fire conditions on the second floor of the building. Significant damage was done to the attic and second floor of the structure.
One firefighters sustained a minor injury that did not require hospitalization. The occupants were not at home of the time of the fire.
Units remained on the scene for salvage and overhaul operations after extinguishing the blaze.
A preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire to be an accident.
