Kenneth Clark White, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. Clark was a native of Canton, Ill., and a former resident of California before moving to the Peninsula in 1995.

He retired from NASA as aeronautics engineer in 1995 after 30 years of service. Clark is the former vice president of the Cape Henry Audubon Society and was involved with two other bird watching groups for which he organized field trips. Once a month, he guided groups of bird watchers through Hoffler Creek and travels all over the country, and occasionally, to other countries for bird-watching excursions. He was also an avid golfer with his free time.

He is survived by his children, Margo Clark (Broderick) and Kenneth D. White (Kathy) and his wife of Marilyn Busch White and her children. He is also survived by his sister, Diann Bayer; brother, Wayne White (Martha); and his grandchildren, Spencer Steeves and Taylour Steeves.

Services will be private.
