On this day, Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, we lost our beloved mother, Arnett Kizzia Bromell. Arnett is survived by her four children Cathy, Diane, Eric and Fred; two sisters, Diane and Tricia; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arnett was born on July 26, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Okla., and lived in Northern Virginia prior to retiring with her (now deceased) husband, John Bromell. Arnett was a lover of life expressed through her many activities: golf, tennis, dancing (quite a Charleston dancer), laughing, playing Bridge and raising four adult children.

Thanks to all of her friends and family as well as all the staff of Patriots Colony for all of the love and support they provided our mother throughout her journey.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Patriots Colony, 6000 Patriots Colony Drive, Williamsburg. Burial will be held in warm weather in Tryon, N.C., Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 27.
