Police seek tattooed woman in connection with stolen car

Police are searching for a Yorktown woman, known for changing her appearance and using aliases, who they believe is operating a stolen car.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is searching for Monica Briley in connection to the theft of a red Honda Accord with North Carolina license plates, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Police have charged Briley with forgery and uttering, obtaining money by false pretenses, grand larceny and petit larceny, the release said.

Briley’s last known address is in the 100 block of Walnut Drive in Yorktown.

Briley is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 pounds, the release said. She frequently changes her hair color and has various tattoos and piercings.

The release said Briley sometimes goes by Monica Stark, uses various dates of birth and has ties to Texas. She may present a Texas operator’s license.
