The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office released surveillance photographs Wednesday from a late night shooting that occurred outside a Williamsburg Walmart Dec. 29.
Police say the shots were fired after a fight broke out between two groups of men.
According to a news release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:50 p.m. deputies from the Virginia State Police, York and James City counties responded to a call of shots fired at a Walmart located on Rochambeau Drive in the Williamsburg area of York County.
“Upon investigating,” the release stated. “It appears that two separate groups of males began arguing, and at one point some shots were fired between the groups.”
There are no reported injuries from the fight, police said.
Authorities are asking the public’s assistance in the ongoing investigation and are asking help identifying the people and vehicles pictured in the included photographs.
