Hung “Savio” Vuong Duong, 57, of West Point, Va., passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2016.
Savio was a plumber working with his brother, Quy, and worked for Q.T. Duong Plumbing for 40 years. He loved to cook and was an avid Redskin fan. Savio was a very generous person always giving far more than he received. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jian Duong and An Bui; and a sister, Mai Huynh.
Savio is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna; four children, Savio, Maria, Jade and Jasmine; stepmother, Khieu Dinh; sisters, Hoa Duong, Phuong Duong and Huong Bui; and brothers Quy Duong, Dung Duong and Vang Duong.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, with a rosary service beginning at 5 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, VA 23181. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 3570 King William Ave., West Point, VA 23181.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Savio Duong Fund to help with funeral expenses payable to the Bank of Essex, P.O. Box 859, West Point, VA 23181.
