Rosia L. Murray was called to eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016. She lived a long and fruitful life and was called to her heavenly home at the blessed age of 97.
She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Yorktown, where she was the “Mother” of the church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Eunice Lewis, Annie Perdy (Frank), Anita Johnson (Victor), Willnett Pete and Voy Lee Harvey (Neffie); 26 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and a host of caring friends.
A funeral service, celebrating the life she lived, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Pastor Barbara Lemon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Mrs. Murray may be viewed only in the church on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. until the hour of her service.
