Police: Drug deal gone bad leads to shots fired outside Taco Bell

Shots were fired outside a York County Taco Bell after a drug deal went bad Tuesday afternoon, police say.

According to a news release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, a suspect shot at another person’s car at approximately 5:45 p.m. — striking just the car — after a drug deal went bad in the parking lot of a Taco Bell located in the Washington Square shopping center.

According to the release, no one was injured in the incident.

“This isolated incident had absolutely nothing to do with the business Taco Bell,” the release stated.

An investigation is ongoing.
