In a Monday afternoon ceremony, more than two dozen new citizens completed the long process to citizenship in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg's Capitol building. Twenty-six people swore allegiance to the United States of America before U.S. District Court Judge Mark Davis.

Nearly 70 people filled the Hall of the House of Burgesses for the naturalization ceremony, which included introductions by Elisabeth Reiss of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, U.S. Assistant Attorney Daniel Shean, and an address by Dr. Joseph Beatty of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
