Judith Ann “Mama Judy” Stewart, 73, of Williamsburg, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, with her three children holding her hand.
Judy fought a courageous but short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Papa Jim” Stewart; and her parents, Wilma M. and Rudy J. Korach.
She is survived by her loving children, Julie M. Stewart-Conn (Brian), Jodi L. Stewart-Szvetecz (Anthony) and Jason M. Stewart (Angela); grandchildren, Felicia Moore, Brandon DeBellis, Megan Cox, Kyle Szvetecz, Kelli Szvetecz, Kaitlyn Szvetecz, Katherine Stewart and James L. Stewart II; great-grandchildren, Devin, Jayden, Arianna, Layla and Riley; brother, Gerald Korach (Connie); sister, Margaret Harris (Mark); brother-in-law, David Stewart (Rayma); beloved companion, “Snickers,” her dog; and many other family members and friends.
Judith was a member of Saint Bede Catholic Church. She will be eternally thankful for her friends of the Kingsmill Wine & Dine group. She enjoyed her 20-plus-year career as a paralegal with Channing M. Hall III Esq.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Saint Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
